Swiss sanitary-technology group Geberit reported a 2.8% increase in net sales to 1.71 billion Swiss francs for the first half of 2026, slightly exceeding market expectations. The gain was tempered by negative currency effects of 53 million francs, while organic growth in local currencies reached 5.9% for the period.
Growth accelerated in the second quarter, with organic sales rising 6.6% compared with 3.4% in the first three months. The company attributed the improvement to stronger demand across all three product segments and regions, supported by favorable pricing and volume growth. Europe’s market conditions showed particular improvement, though demand remained robust in most other regions as well.
EBITDA rose 3.0% to 529 million francs, leaving the margin stable at 30.9% year-over-year. Geberit noted that higher direct material costs were offset by operational efficiencies in production and logistics, which supported margin performance. Net profit increased 7.4% to 364 million francs.
For the full year, Geberit maintained its guidance, forecasting net sales growth of 5-6% in local currencies and an EBITDA margin broadly in line with 2025’s 29.4%.
