Gaotu Techedu reported a second-quarter net loss of ¥0.57 per American Depositary Share, widening from ¥0.46 in the same period last year and missing analyst estimates by ¥0.11. Revenue totaled ¥1.67 billion, up 3% year-over-year and exceeding the consensus forecast of ¥1.62 billion.
The Beijing-based online education provider also provided third-quarter guidance, projecting revenue between ¥1.84 billion and ¥1.86 billion. Shares closed at ¥1.73 on Friday, down 2.81% over the past three months and 56.53% over the last 12 months. Analysts have revised earnings estimates downward in the past 90 days, according to market data.
