Norwalk, Connecticut-based FactSet (NYSE: FDS) appointed Marcel Prins to its board of directors, the company said, bringing in a veteran of the asset management and financial technology sectors.
Prins most recently served as chief operating officer and director of Robeco, a Netherlands-based global asset manager, from 2022 until 2026. During his tenure, he executed a multi-year technology strategy and introduced a data platform at the firm.
Before joining Robeco, Prins spent more than a decade at APG N.V., where he held the roles of COO and director of APG Asset Management and later chief digital officer of APG Group. His earlier career included positions at ABN AMRO Group N.V., Fortis Bank, and DCE International.
Prins currently sits on the boards of ABN Amro Clearing Bank and Mondu Financial Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
Malcolm Frank, chair of FactSet’s board, said in a statement that Prins’ “extensive technology and asset management experience” would strengthen the board as the company “continues to put trusted financial data and advanced AI capabilities to work to empower our clients.”

FactSet serves more than 9,100 global clients and over 247,000 individual users, the company said.
