Energys Group Limited said it has completed the acquisition of Cube Lighting and Design Limited and Cube Solar Installations Limited through its wholly-owned subsidiary, adding two UK-based project delivery partners to its energy efficiency and decarbonization platform.
The transactions were finalized on August 20, the company said. Energys Group, founded in 1998 and listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker ENGS, provides LED lighting retrofits, solar photovoltaic systems, solar roofs and battery storage solutions for private and public sector buildings in the UK.
Cube Lighting specializes in installing LED lighting for schools, hospitals, offices and other facilities, while Cube Solar focuses on solar PV installations, rooftop solar and energy storage, with recent projects in the education sector. Both firms had previously served as project delivery and execution partners for Energys Group, working on installations across its client base.
Chief Executive Officer Kevin Cox said the acquisitions vertically integrate Energys Group’s offerings, strengthen delivery capabilities and improve margins by bringing key execution partners in-house. Haley Roberts, Director of Cube Lighting, described the transaction as a milestone for the team and its clients.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed. Energys Group serves organizations including schools, universities, hospitals and commercial offices with energy-saving and decarbonization solutions aimed at reducing operational costs and carbon footprints.
