Electromed Inc. Chief Executive Officer Jim Cunniff will retire on or about April 2, 2027, the company announced on Monday. Cunniff, who has served as president, CEO, and a board member since 2023, will also resign from the board upon his departure.
Electromed, which trades on the NYSE American under the ticker ELMD, manufactures and sells airway clearance therapy products, including the SmartVest Airway Clearance System. The company is headquartered in New Prague, Minnesota, and was founded in 1992.
Kathleen Skarvan, chair of the board of directors, said in a statement that Cunniff’s tenure had a positive impact on the business, patients, and shareholders. Cunniff, for his part, remarked that it had been an honor to lead the company over the past three years.
The board has engaged an executive search firm to conduct a national search for Cunniff’s successor. Further details regarding the transition plan or interim leadership were not disclosed.
