Dermata Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DRMA) has opened preorders for Tome Foundational Treatment, its first direct-to-consumer skincare product, ahead of a commercial launch on Aug. 25.
The once-weekly topical mask is priced at $178 and includes four treatments, with each treatment costing approximately $45. Subscribers to the service receive a 10% discount on purchases. Each treatment kit contains Bioneedle powder, an Activator tube, and an application brush, with instructions to mix and apply as a mask for skin renewal.
The product’s key ingredient, Bioneedle, is derived from wild-harvested Spongilla lacustris, a freshwater sponge. Dermata CEO Gerry Proehl stated the company has spent the past year preparing for commercialization, including brand development, consumer research, supply chain optimization, packaging design, and building a social media presence.
Preorders are available through the dedicated website, www.tomeskincare.com, with shipping scheduled to begin on Aug. 25. The launch marks Dermata’s expansion into direct-to-consumer skincare under its new Tome brand portfolio.
