Delivery Hero raised its full-year outlook on Thursday after reporting a stronger-than-expected second quarter, citing accelerating growth and improved profitability.
The Berlin-based food delivery group now targets a 2026 gross merchandise value (GMV) increase of 9% to 11%, up from the prior range of 8% to 10%. Adjusted EBITDA is projected at €960 million to €1 billion, compared with the previous guidance of €910 million to €960 million.
In the second quarter, Delivery Hero’s GMV rose 11.3% to €13.2 billion, while revenue increased 17.7% to €4 billion. For the first half of the year, the company posted an adjusted EBITDA of €427 million, up from €411 million in the same period of 2023.
Chief Executive Niklas Östberg attributed the performance to new order records and faster growth, which exceeded profitability expectations. The company remains on track for a €13 billion takeover by U.S. ride-hailing group Uber, which offered €41.50 per share in July. The deal’s completion is expected in the second half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
Delivery Hero operates in more than 70 markets and continues to benefit from sustained demand in the global food delivery sector.
