DayOne, a Singapore-based data center operator, has secured a $530 million green loan to finance the development of its next facility in the city-state.
The financing, structured as a green loan, aligns with DayOne’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure. Proceeds will support the construction of a high-efficiency data center designed to meet stringent environmental standards, including reduced energy consumption and lower carbon emissions.
Green loans are increasingly used in the data center industry to fund projects that prioritize energy efficiency and renewable energy integration. DayOne’s facility is expected to leverage advanced cooling technologies and renewable power sources to minimize environmental impact while supporting growing demand for digital infrastructure in Asia-Pacific.
The loan was arranged by a syndicate of international lenders, reflecting strong investor confidence in DayOne’s business model and sustainability credentials. Terms of the financing were not disclosed.
DayOne operates multiple data centers in Singapore and has outlined plans to expand its footprint across the region. The company has positioned itself as a key player in Asia’s digital infrastructure sector, catering to hyperscale cloud providers and enterprise clients.
