DA Davidson increased its price target for Private Bancorp of America (NASDAQ: PBAM) to $105 from $96, citing an improved growth outlook for the regional lender. The new target follows a prior upgrade from $91 and reflects the stock’s recent performance, which has surged 55% over the past year and 52% year-to-date, bringing it within striking distance of its 52-week high of $88.03.
The firm maintained its Buy rating on PBAM, which is currently trading at $88.50. Piper Sandler also raised its target to $96 from $88, while adjusting earnings per share estimates upward for 2026 and 2027. The adjustments were attributed to higher adjusted earnings assets and lower loan loss provisions, according to the research note.
Private Bancorp of America’s valuation metrics remain favorable, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 11.47 and a return on equity of 17%. The company’s potential participation in mergers and acquisitions activity—an area it has not engaged in for over a decade—was highlighted as a potential catalyst for further growth. Recent corporate developments, including its Nasdaq uplisting, may also aid in attracting top talent, the analysts noted.
