CTS Eventim AG reported first-half 2026 revenue of EUR 1.5 billion, a 17% increase from the same period a year earlier, as live entertainment demand boosted profitability. Adjusted EBITDA rose 12.4% to EUR 225 million, while adjusted EBIT increased 15.3% year-over-year. Earnings per share climbed 34% to EUR 1.25.
The Munich-based ticketing and live entertainment group attributed growth to its live entertainment segment, which generated nearly EUR 1.1 billion in revenue—up more than 18%—for the first time crossing the EUR 1 billion mark in the first half of a calendar year. Live entertainment adjusted EBITDA reached EUR 53 million, up from EUR 34 million a year earlier, with a 5% margin. Venue operations contributed EUR 70 million in revenue and EUR 29 million in adjusted EBITDA.
Group-wide retail ticket volume totaled 81 million, while gross transaction value rose 13.3% on a trailing 12-month basis. About 70% of retail ticket sales originated outside Germany, reflecting the company’s international exposure. The ticketing segment’s revenue increased 14%, with like-for-like growth in the second quarter and first half of around mid-single digits.
CTS Eventim secured a three-year ticketing contract for the Los Angeles 2026 Olympics, expected to generate low triple-digit million euros in revenue over the term with profit margins between 20% and 30%. The first revenue contribution from the deal, recorded in the second quarter, amounted to a low- to mid-double-digit million euro figure. The company also highlighted its operational excellence program, described as a scaling initiative focused on modernizing processes and systems after years of acquisitions.
CFO William Willms noted that the group continues to grow profitably, while Marco Haeckermann, Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Development, confirmed guidance remains unchanged despite a cautious stance amid geopolitical uncertainty. Haeckermann will depart at his own request in September.
The company’s net financial result improved to a positive EUR 20 million from a negative EUR 6 million a year earlier. Return on equity over the last 12 months stood at 27%, with a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.11. Shares were up 0.26% at $58.15, leaving the stock near the midpoint of its 52-week range of $48.68 to $89.65, and valuing the company at $6.5 billion with a P/E ratio of 18.94.
CTS Eventim also highlighted milestones at the Unipol Dome in Milan, which hosted the Olympic ice hockey tournament in February and opened for music concerts in the spring. The venue is expected to contribute to operating results starting in the third quarter, with construction costs exceeding EUR 400 million before subsidies.
