Crexendo Inc. (NASDAQ: CXDO) announced that its upcoming Version 46 software release will integrate native support for the IETF vCon standard, enabling standardized capture, storage and exchange of conversational data across voice calls, video meetings, text messages, webchats and email threads.
The integration will be embedded within the NetSapiens platform, which serves more than 250 platform licensees supporting over eight million end users. Crexendo stated it is the first major communications service provider platform to adopt vCon at the core platform level.
The vCon standard is designed to unify conversational data into a portable format, reducing the technical complexity and cost for service providers seeking to deploy AI-driven services. By embedding this capability at the platform level, Crexendo aims to allow its partners to offer differentiated, hyper-personalized AI services without building underlying infrastructure independently.
Crexendo’s stock closed at $6.65 on August 14, up 1.68%, with after-hours trading at $6.77, up 1.80%.
Jeff Korn, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Crexendo, said the move would provide service providers with an efficient path to integrate AI capabilities. Jeff Pulver, Chairman and Founder of the vCon Foundation, highlighted the platform’s role in creating a memory and trust ecosystem for conversations.
