CoStar Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CSGP) has completed the acquisition of Zonda for $800 million in cash, expanding its footprint in the U.S. new-home construction data market.
The deal, announced in May and finalized on August 21, 2026, adds Zonda’s platform of homebuilder software, marketplaces, and construction data to CoStar’s existing portfolio. Zonda generated approximately $170 million in revenue in 2025, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 23%. Its platforms, including NewHomeSource.com and Livabl, serve over 3,000 customers across North America, including homebuilders, developers, suppliers, and lenders.
CoStar reported $925 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, an 18% year-over-year increase, while adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $184 million. Residential revenue rose 33% to $444 million during the same period, reflecting the company’s growing focus on the housing market.
The acquisition aligns with CoStar’s strategy to provide purpose-built data and analytics for the homebuilding industry, according to Andy Florance, founder and CEO of CoStar Group. “Zonda has built an exceptional business around information the homebuilding industry relies on every day,” he said. Jeff Meyers, president of Zonda, added that the company has “earned the trust of the homebuilding industry by providing the data, intelligence, and solutions our customers rely on every day.”
CoStar was advised by BofA Securities on the transaction.
