Corero Network Security on Thursday introduced AI-Augmented Cloud-Assist, a cloud-delivered enhancement to its SmartWall ONE distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection platform. The new capability integrates AI-driven analysis, threat intelligence, and policy optimization to strengthen real-time defenses against DDoS attacks.
The system ingests attack telemetry from SmartWall ONE deployments to identify threats, generate policy recommendations, and automate mitigation actions under expert oversight. Recommendations can be applied either manually or automatically, with the platform establishing a feedback loop between Corero’s cloud infrastructure and on-premises SmartWall ONE systems. Forensic data sources feed into the intelligence loop, enabling policies to adapt based on observed attack behaviors.
Carl Herberger, CEO of Corero, said the feature extends SmartWall ONE’s capabilities by merging cloud-scale intelligence, human expertise, and edge-based mitigation to safeguard critical services. The company targets AI data centers, NeoCloud providers, service providers, and digital enterprises as primary users of the enhanced platform, which is designed to mitigate attacks at the network edge near protected applications and services.
Corero’s shares are listed on the AIM market in London under the ticker AIM:CNS and trade over-the-counter in the U.S. under OTCQX:DDOSF.
