The transaction was executed at a weighted average price of $33.85 per share, with individual trades ranging from $33.50 to $34.14. Following the sale, Grande retains a direct holding of 144,782 CoreCivic shares.
The disposal occurred as CoreCivic’s stock traded near its 52-week high of $34.86, reflecting a 92% gain over the prior six months. The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.38 per share in the second quarter of 2026, exceeding Wall Street estimates of $0.33 per share, while revenue reached $684.9 million against a forecast of $615.79 million.
CoreCivic also announced an accelerated share repurchase agreement valued at $500 million as part of its existing $755.8 million buyback program, leaving approximately $255.8 million available for future repurchases. InvestingPro data indicated the stock appeared overvalued relative to its fair value at the time of the insider sale.
