Cocrystal Pharma Inc. said on Friday it appointed Carol Brosgart as an independent director to its board, effective immediately.
Brosgart brings more than three decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including leadership roles at Gilead Sciences. Her appointment expands the board to nine members, Cocrystal said in a statement.
The biotech company, which focuses on developing antiviral therapies, said Brosgart’s expertise in drug development and commercialization will support its pipeline expansion efforts. Cocrystal did not disclose additional financial or operational details regarding the appointment.
Shares of Cocrystal Pharma were down 3% in premarket trading on Friday.
