Cisco Systems introduced the Cisco AI POD for Splunk on Sept. 15, extending its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA reference architecture to deliver on-premises AI capabilities for enterprise Splunk deployments.
The offering combines AI runtime software, Cisco infrastructure, and NVIDIA accelerated computing within a Kubernetes-based architecture designed specifically for Splunk AI workloads. It is available immediately upon announcement.
Cisco also announced Splunk AI Assistant and Agent Launchpad, scheduled for release later this year. The tools will allow customers to run the AI services in their own data centers, private clouds, and air-gapped environments.
Supported AI models include the Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google's Gemma 4, and OpenAI's GPT-OSS 20B. NVIDIA Nemotron models are planned for future deployment.
In parallel, Cisco introduced Splunk Agent Observability with tokenomics capabilities, which tracks AI token expenditure across agents and coding applications such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. The service forecasts consumption patterns using the Cisco Deep Time Series Model and is accessible through Splunk Observability Cloud and Cisco Cloud Control.
New editions of Splunk Observability Cloud — Essentials and Premier — were also announced alongside updated tiers of Splunk Enterprise Security featuring Enhanced Exposure Analytics for cross-environment asset tracking.
Deployment support is provided by partners including bitsIO, Wipro, and World Wide Technology.
In a separate agreement, Cisco and Amazon Web Services formalized a multi-year partnership to jointly develop security solutions focused on detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
