Bernardino Colonna, president of Chicago Atlantic BDC, Inc., purchased 1,000 shares of the company’s common stock in late August for a total of $10,230, disclosures show.
The transactions were executed in two batches. On August 28, Colonna bought 250 shares at $10.18 per share. On August 31, he acquired an additional 750 shares, with a weighted-average purchase price of $10.2467 per share across multiple trades during the day.
The purchases were made at prices ranging from $10.18 to $10.28 per share. Chicago Atlantic BDC’s stock was trading at $10.27 at the time of the latest disclosure, down from a 52-week high of $11.44. Year-to-date, shares have gained roughly 7%.
The company reported second-quarter net investment income of $7.7 million, or $0.34 per share, compared with $10 million, or $0.44 per share, in the first quarter. It has maintained a $0.34 per share dividend for eight consecutive quarters, yielding 13.24% at current prices.
Chicago Atlantic BDC also plans to merge with Chicago Atlantic Real Estate Finance to support growth, with the deal awaiting shareholder approval.
