Carlsmed, Inc. (NASDAQ: CARL) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against DeGen Medical, Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, Florence Division.
The complaint, filed Monday and disclosed on September 15, 2026, alleges that DeGen is infringing eight of Carlsmed’s patents spanning implants, methods, and systems. Carlsmed is seeking injunctive relief and monetary damages for the alleged violations.
Carlsmed, headquartered in Carlsbad, California, describes itself as a medical technology company that develops AI-enabled personalized spine surgery solutions.
