Burlington Stores Inc. fell to a 52-week low of $240.48 on Wednesday, extending losses that have left the retailer down nearly 14% over the past year.
The drop followed second-quarter earnings that showed mixed results: adjusted earnings per share of $2.37 topped analyst expectations of $2.17, representing a 38% increase from the prior-year period. However, revenue came in slightly below projections at $3 billion against an anticipated $3.02 billion.
Deutsche Bank analyst Krisztine Katai maintained a "Hold" rating but lowered her price target from $367 to $323, citing a shift in focus toward fiscal year 2027 and noting the impact of tariff refunds and pricing investments on the near-term outlook.
The stock has dropped 11.6% year-to-date. According to InvestingPro analysis, Burlington Stores trades below its estimated fair value and its relative strength index sits in oversold territory, though broader sector challenges and shifting consumer spending continue to weigh on the shares.
Burlington, which operates off-price apparel and home goods stores, reported the earnings for its second fiscal quarter of 2026 on September 9.
