BWX Technologies Inc. shares fell to a 52-week low of $156.95 on Thursday, extending a broader decline that has seen the stock drop more than 21% over the past six months.
The defense and nuclear technology company’s stock has also declined nearly 6% year-to-date and 4.89% over the past 12 months, according to market data.
Second-quarter 2026 results released earlier this month showed adjusted earnings of $1.07 per share, exceeding Wall Street’s estimate of $1.05 per share. Revenue totaled $901.6 million, slightly below the forecasted $905.4 million. Sales grew 18% from the prior year, driven by expansion in the commercial nuclear segment.
Management raised full-year free cash flow guidance to a range of $345 million to $360 million, up from prior estimates. The company’s backlog stood at $8.4 billion, a 40% increase from the prior year, reflecting sustained demand for its nuclear technology and services.
