BTC Digital Ltd. (NASDAQ: BTCT) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to develop an artificial intelligence data center in Vietnam’s Nam Trang Cat Industrial Park, located in Hai Phong.
The agreement, executed on August 20, provides a two-year cooperation framework with an initial six-month exclusivity period. The proposed facility would require approximately 300 megawatts of power and occupy space within the 2 million square meter industrial park. Key terms remain subject to due diligence, regulatory approvals, financing arrangements, and the execution of definitive agreements.
Under the MOU, Nam Trang Cat Investment and Development Joint Stock Company will coordinate local logistics and verify site conditions, power availability, and infrastructure readiness. BTC Digital will contribute expertise in digital computing infrastructure and international business resources to support technical planning and project evaluation. SG Partners Co., Limited will assist in engaging potential investors and financing sources.
Siguang Peng, Chief Executive Officer of BTC Digital, stated that the MOU establishes a practical framework for the next phase of work, including site and power profile verification, technical design completion, permitting assessment, and capital structure evaluation.
