Bank of America has published its outlook for the EUR/USD exchange rate, forecasting a target of 1.15 by the end of 2026. This figure is slightly below Bloomberg's consensus median forecast of 1.17. The bank also anticipates the EUR/USD rate to reach 1.20 by the end of 2027, which aligns with Bloomberg's consensus median forecast.
The report, titled "G10 FX back-to-school: dollar unloaded," was published on September 8, 2026. Bank of America's projections reflect the firm's view on dollar movements against major developed-market currencies over a 15-month horizon. The bank anticipates the dollar will finish the year near current levels against most G10 currencies, excluding the Japanese yen, before resuming modest depreciation in 2027.
Bank of America made minimal adjustments to its currency profiles, with revisions to forecasts for Antipodean and Nordic currencies since the previous month.
