Attendo AB reported a 79% increase in adjusted earnings per share to SEK 1.52 in the second quarter of 2026, driven by a 56% rise in lease-adjusted EBITDA to SEK 321 million. Net sales edged up 1.3% year-over-year to SEK 4.7 billion, reflecting modest underlying growth of 4.9% in continuing operations.
Group occupancy improved to 88%, up 2.5 percentage points from the prior-year period, with Finland reaching 87% and Scandinavia 89%. The company noted SEK 113 million in sales headwinds from concluded and ending outsourcing and home care contracts in Scandinavia, partially offset by growth in Finland and Denmark.
Lease-adjusted EBITDA margins expanded to 7.8% on a rolling 12-month basis, compared with 5.8% a year earlier. Scandinavia’s lease-adjusted EBITDA rose to SEK 106 million, while Finland’s increased 29% to SEK 235 million, lifting margins to 8.4% from 6.7%. Adjusted EPS over the past 12 months reached SEK 7.14, up from SEK 6.00 in 2025.
Free cash flow for the quarter totaled SEK 269 million, and net leverage declined to 1.1 times from 1.7 times a year ago. The company reaffirmed its long-term target of SEK 9 in adjusted EPS by 2028 and plans to repurchase roughly 5% of outstanding shares annually.
Attendo executed four transactions year-to-date, including the acquisition of Skåningegård in Sweden and A-klinikka in Finland, adding SEK 450 million in net sales and SEK 50 million in lease-adjusted EBITDA before synergies. The company has around 900 places under construction and agreements for nearly 600 additional places, with 770 new places slated to open across Finland and Sweden over the next 12 months.
Shares of Attendo were down 0.77% in pre-market trading at SEK 12.21, near the top of its 52-week range of SEK 63.2 to SEK 122.7.
