Shares of Ather Energy advanced 2.4% to 1,655 rupees on Monday after the company unveiled its new Konarc electric scooter at the Community Day 2026 event.
The Konarc, priced at 99,999 rupees (approximately $1,047.82), marks Ather’s most accessible model to date, positioning the company to target India’s high-volume, mass-market electric vehicle segment. The scooter’s launch underscores Ather Energy’s push into broader consumer adoption amid intensifying competition in the domestic EV sector.
Analysts cited the Konarc as the most feature-complete offering in its category, with expectations that its competitive pricing and expanded feature set will strengthen Ather’s market position. The stock’s 2.4% gain reflects investor optimism tied to the scooter’s potential to drive volume growth and improve margins in a price-sensitive market.
Ather Energy, an electric vehicle manufacturer, has positioned the Konarc as a key product for its growth strategy, aligning with India’s accelerating shift toward electric mobility. The company’s shares have been closely watched as a bellwether for EV demand in the country’s two-wheeler segment.
