Executives highlighted progress across the company’s late-stage hematology and oncology pipeline. Olverembatinib, a third-generation BCR-ABL inhibitor approved in China since 2021 for chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase, is being evaluated in global trials POLARIS-1 and POLARIS-2. POLARIS-2, a randomized study against bosutinib, targets completion of enrollment by late 2026 or early 2027, while POLARIS-1, a phase III trial in newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia, is ongoing.
Lisaftoclax, a selective BCL-2 inhibitor approved in China in July 2025 for relapsed or refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia and small lymphocytic lymphoma, demonstrated strong efficacy signals. In U.S. frontline myelodysplastic syndrome trials, the therapy achieved an overall response rate of 80%, including a 40% complete response rate. In acute myeloid leukemia trials, lisaftoclax showed an overall complete response or complete response with incomplete hematologic recovery rate of 72%, with a 61% minimal residual disease negativity rate.
Additional pipeline assets include APG-2449, a triple kinase inhibitor covering FAK, ALK, and ROS1; APG-115, an MDM2 inhibitor; and APG-1252, targeting BCL-2 and BCL-xL. The company also noted the progression of GLORIA-2, with enrollment completed at over 400 patients, while GLORIA-3 and GLORIA-4 remain in active stages.
Ascentage’s lisaftoclax is under initial review for inclusion in China’s National Reimbursement Drug List, with expert review meetings scheduled for late August or early September 2026. The company targets potential new drug application filings in the second half of 2027, pending trial outcomes.
