LandBridge Co LLC’s shares rose nearly 9.6% in morning trading to $90.11, extending a 68% year-to-date gain and touching a new 52-week high of $90.39.
The advance followed the company’s announcement that it had filed a preliminary information statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to convert its legal structure from a Delaware limited liability company to a Texas corporation. The board and a special committee of independent directors unanimously approved the move, with majority shareholder LandBridge Holdings LLC—controlling about 61.2% of outstanding common shares—providing written consent. The conversion is expected to take effect no earlier than 20 days after mailing, with investors citing potential eligibility for major U.S. stock indices as a long-term catalyst for broader institutional ownership.
Media attention also contributed to the momentum after Barron’s highlighted LandBridge and its affiliated water infrastructure operator WaterBridge as stocks positioned for meaningful gains, citing favorable technical formations and momentum in the energy sector. During the same session, the S&P 500 slipped 0.4% and the Nasdaq fell 0.8%.
The company reported record revenue of $66.8 million for the second quarter of 2026, a 41% increase year-over-year, while reaffirming full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance in the range of $210 million to $230 million. LandBridge’s long-term strategy remains focused on land and resource management in the Delaware Basin.
