Arista Networks outlined its expanding role in AI networking infrastructure at the Rosenblatt 6th Annual Technology Summit: The Age of AI (Part II), citing strong adoption of its Etherlink 800G Ethernet portfolio and a broadening customer base.
The company’s Etherlink platform, launched in June 2024, has grown from four to five initial customers to more than 100, spanning hyperscalers, AI labs, sovereign enterprises, and campus buyers. This expansion reflects Arista’s positioning as a key vendor for AI-scale data center deployments, particularly in back-end training clusters where scale-out infrastructure is critical.
Arista provided 2024 guidance projecting revenue growth of 12.6% for the full year, with second-half revenue expected to rise approximately 40% compared to the first half. Enterprise and campus revenue is forecast to reach $1.25 billion in 2024, up from about $800 million in 2023, representing roughly 45% to 50% growth. Gross margin is guided to a range of 62% to 64%, while operating margin is expected between 48% and 49%.
The company also highlighted operational challenges tied to supply lead times, which remain around 52 weeks, with visibility extending roughly two quarters. Customer concentration is expected to increase, with at least two to three new customers projected to reach 10% revenue thresholds in 2024. Tariff impacts are anticipated to remain minimal, at about 20 to 30 basis points.
Arista’s scale-across business, which includes AI networking deployments, now represents about one-third of total revenue. The company emphasized its focus on capital allocation, with executives stating no distraction from non-core initiatives. Arista’s market capitalization stands at $242.55 billion, with a past-year revenue growth of 33% and a return on equity of 31%.
During the summit, Arista executives underscored the importance of software foundations in AI networking, noting that customers require reliable infrastructure to support rapid model development and cloud expansion. The company’s Etherlink portfolio is positioned as a foundational element for large-scale AI deployments, aligning with industry expectations for Ethernet-based scale-up solutions.
