The transactions were executed under an automatic sell-to-cover arrangement to satisfy tax withholding obligations upon the vesting of restricted stock units, Ardelyx stated. The shares were sold at a weighted average price of $3.8569 per share, with individual trades ranging from $3.648 to $3.984. Following the disposition, Reilly retains a direct holding of 145,854 shares of ARDX common stock.
The disposal occurred as Ardelyx’s stock traded near its 52-week low of $3.73, down 55% from its 52-week high of $8.40. The company reported a 31% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue, totaling a record $118 million, but revised its full-year guidance downward for its primary drug IBSRELA and withdrew its revenue target for XPHOZAH.
Options activity surged on the same day, with 11,147 contracts traded—comprising 471 call contracts and 10,676 put contracts—the highest volume since April 2025.
