John E. Bishop, Ardelyx’s chief technology and quality officer, sold 19,750 ordinary shares on Aug. 21, 2026, for a total of $76,173 under a mandatory tax-withholding provision tied to vested restricted stock units.
The disposal occurred at weighted average prices between $3.648 and $3.984 per share, with a weighted average sale price of $3.8569. Bishop retained 317,095 ordinary shares after the transaction, according to a Form 4 filed Aug. 25.
The sale took place as Ardelyx’s stock approached a 52-week low of $3.73, following a 35% year-to-date decline and a 42% drop over the prior six months. Ardelyx reported second-quarter revenue of $118 million, a 31% increase from the same period last year, but withdrew its annual revenue target for XPHOZAH and revised guidance for IBSRELA.
Options activity surged, with 11,147 contracts traded on Aug. 21—the highest since April 2025—with put volume exceeding call volume.
