Shares of Applied Nutrition advanced 5.15% to 338.05 pence on Wednesday, extending gains after the company reported fiscal year 2026 results that exceeded market expectations.
The sports nutrition group posted revenue of approximately £160 million, a 50% increase from the prior year, while adjusted EBITDA rose about 40% to £43.3 million. Both metrics surpassed consensus estimates compiled by S&P Global, driving the stock to within 5% of its 52-week high of 355 pence.
Applied Nutrition also provided initial guidance for fiscal year 2027, indicating expectations above current market forecasts. The company did not disclose specific numerical targets in its statement.
The company’s performance reflects its ongoing expansion strategy, which includes strategic acquisitions and partnerships. In June, Applied Nutrition completed the acquisition of the Nutrablend Group’s assets, gaining a U.S. manufacturing facility and additional production capacity. The deal was paired with a new product collaboration in North America featuring brands SOUR PATCH KIDS and SWEDISH FISH.
Applied Nutrition highlighted its relationships with major retailers and distributors, including Holland & Barrett and new listings with U.S. retailers, as key drivers of its growth trajectory. The company’s shares outperformed the FTSE 250 index, which rose about 0.6% on the day.
