Baris Oran has resigned as chief financial officer of U.S. building materials group Amrize, effective immediately, the company said after U.S. market close on Monday.
Oran’s departure follows a brief five-month tenure that began in early April. The 52-year-old cited personal reasons for his exit. Prior to Amrize, Oran served as CFO of logistics provider GXO Logistics and held finance roles at Sabanci Group.
Samuel J. Poletti will succeed Oran, the company announced. Poletti, who has been with Amrize since its June 2025 stock market debut, previously led the financial and non-financial aspects of the spin-off of Amrize’s North American business from Holcim. He has spent more than two decades at Holcim, overseeing acquisitions, finance and strategy, including deals in the North American roofing and building solutions segment. Poletti will be based at Amrize’s operational headquarters in Chicago.
Amrize also named Dillon Cumming as head of investor relations, effective September 8. Cumming joins from asset manager Walleye Capital, where he covered building materials companies. Before that, he worked at Morgan Stanley, analyzing U.S. industrials and materials firms.
