Volex PLC’s stock surged 19.7% on Tuesday after the cable and connectivity manufacturer raised its fiscal 2027 underlying operating profit guidance and reported broad-based revenue growth.
The company’s shares climbed from a previous close of 534p to a session high of 645p, before settling around 639p. The move followed a trading update released alongside Volex’s Annual General Meeting, which highlighted stronger-than-expected financial momentum.
Volex now expects fiscal 2027 underlying operating profit to exceed current market forecasts. The company reported constant currency organic revenue growth of 28.0% year-over-year for the four months ended July 31, 2026, driven by all five of its end-markets. The Complex Industrial Technology division led the growth.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Volex posted record revenues of $1.24 billion, a 14.4% increase from the prior year. Operating margin reached 10.2%, surpassing the company’s through-cycle target of 9–10%.
The company also noted its ongoing share buyback program and its July 2026 graduation from the AIM market to the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market, which expanded its investor base. The broader market environment showed modest gains for U.S. indices and positive trading for the FTSE 100.
The update comes as Volex’s peers in the integrated cable and connectivity sector, which serve data center, EV, and industrial end-markets, have not released comparable updates, suggesting the move is company-specific.
