AmpliTech Group said its AmpliTech Group Microwave Design Center (AGMDC) division received orders for three custom Gallium Arsenide components valued at approximately $X million, the company disclosed on Monday.
The components will be deployed in a phased-array satellite communications system, with the customer selecting AGMDC following a competitive sourcing process. The awards position AGMDC as a supplier for the customer’s phased-array platform, with further support contingent on demand, program timelines, and subsequent purchase orders.
AmpliTech Group designs, develops, and manufactures RF and microwave signal-processing components and systems for satellite, telecommunications, quantum computing, defense, space, and semiconductor applications. The Hauppauge, N.Y.-based company operates through subsidiaries including AmpliTech Inc., Specialty Microwave, Spectrum Semiconductor Materials, and AmpliTech Group True G Speed Services.
Fawad Maqbool, Founder, Chairman, President, and CEO of AmpliTech Group, said the competitive wins validate the engineering talent and technology capabilities built within the company. Jim Carroll, President of the AGMDC division, added that the team collaborated closely with the customer’s engineers throughout the design and qualification process, resulting in the selection of AGMDC’s solutions for all three components.
