AEG, the premium appliance brand owned by Sweden-based Electrolux, unveiled a suite of connected kitchen and laundry products Thursday at its Global Media Conference during IFA 2026 in Berlin, centering its theme around what it called "the art of hosting."
Among the new launches was the AEG 7000 OnePot Pasta Hob, the brand's first cooktop with a dedicated pasta function. The hob automatically recognizes the pot and sets a 15-minute timer to deliver al dente results without stirring or monitoring. Launch is slated for fall 2026, with future programs for vegetables, rice, and curries planned. Two-Michelin-star Italian chef Davide Oldani demonstrated the hob live, cooking a recipe of 400g pasta with courgette, raisins, saffron, Taggiasca olive oil, and Grana Padano cheese aged 27 to 30 months.
Other kitchen highlights included the PizzaExpert Oven, reintroduced after its IFA 2025 debut, which produces restaurant-style pizza in two minutes and 30 seconds and has been validated by Italy's number-one pizza school. An AI cooking companion app was also introduced—a digital ecosystem that identifies connected appliances and delivers over-the-air updates, such as upgrading a compatible CookSmart Touch+ oven with a PizzaExpert package including a cast-iron tray and pizza peel.
In laundry, the brand launched its Dark Silver range featuring MaxWash45' technology, capable of washing a full load at 30 degrees in 45 minutes, paired with AI wash-and-dry assist to adjust time, water, and energy use. A 12-kilogram washer and 10-kilogram dryer were presented as a matching set.
AEG also highlighted its ErgoMini handheld vacuum, weighing 550 grams with up to 20 minutes of runtime, USB-C charging, an LED front light, and the ability to inflate mattresses and balloons. Its 9000X AbsoluteCare Pro tumble dryer received the overall test winner award from Stiftung Warentest with a score of 1.8, becoming the only appliance in the test to earn both an A energy class and a best-ease-of-use rating. The AEG Clean 6000 bagless canister vacuum was named winner in its Stiftung Warentest category for cleaning performance on hard floors, carpets, and corners alongside low energy consumption.
On the dishwasher front, Electrolux launched QuickSelect 2.0, a sliding interface allowing users to choose between faster wash cycles (left) or energy optimization (right), fully integrated across the 600 to 900 series and described as the only such sliding interface in Europe.
The product push comes against a backdrop of strong brand momentum for AEG in its home market. The company described itself as Germany's fastest-growing appliance brand, citing double-digit growth over the past two years and into 2026. Laundry market share in Germany has risen more than 30% since 2023, and AEG retained the number-one position in the German top-loader segment. It also completed what it called the largest kitchen launch in its history over the past two years.
Parent company Electrolux, with a market capitalization of $2.38 billion and trailing 12-month revenue of $13.26 billion, is projected to earn $0.20 per share in 2026 on anticipated modest revenue growth of 1%. Electrolux shares have declined roughly 27% over the past six months.
AEG cited consumer research indicating that 70% of European consumers believe the best hosts are those who do things their own way rather than follow convention. Connected-appliance data showed that one-third of all washing cycles now take less than one hour.
"At AEG, we believe this is worth challenging, because when technology becomes simpler, we believe that life becomes better," said Leandro, CEO for the EMEA region. "That's why our ambition at AEG is very clear. We want to challenge the expected."
Christopher Duncan, AEG's Product Innovation Lead, said, "Innovation starts with consumer insights and curiosity. Innovation starts with asking the question, what if?"
Elisenda, a brand leader at Electrolux, added: "What we really believe in Sweden is that time is our precious and most valuable resource. What we cannot do is to lose our time. We need to make sure that we make the most of it... As Electrolux, we are here to simplify our consumers' life."
