Accelsius has installed its two-phase liquid cooling system, the IR150, at EdgeConneX’s Global Training Center in Houston, Texas. The deployment integrates the IR150 directly into an IT rack enclosure, leveraging Accelsius’s NeuCool technology, which uses a refrigerant-based architecture to simplify cooling operations.
The installation aligns with EdgeConneX’s broader initiative to prepare operators for next-generation data center infrastructure. Brian Green, Executive Vice President of Engineering and Operations at EdgeConneX, noted that the training center was designed to equip teams for technologies shaping the future of data centers.
Accelsius, a subsidiary of Innventure Inc. (NASDAQ: INV), has positioned its two-phase cooling as a scalable alternative to traditional air-cooling methods. The company highlighted the system’s efficiency gains during Nvidia’s GTC event, where it introduced the IR150 as part of its liquid cooling portfolio. EdgeConneX, backed by EQT Infrastructure, operates the training center on its Houston data center campus, serving as a hub for hands-on learning in advanced cooling and infrastructure management.
The move follows Accelsius’s broader push to commercialize two-phase cooling solutions, which the company argues offer performance and sustainability benefits over conventional methods. The IR150’s deployment at a training facility underscores its role in facilitating operator adoption and technical validation before wider commercial rollouts.
