Accelsius has installed its IR150 liquid cooling system at EdgeConneX's Global Training Center located on the Houston data center campus in Texas.
The IR150 integrates a two-phase cooling distribution unit directly into an IT rack enclosure, enabling EdgeConneX to provide hands-on training for operators, technicians, and partners on liquid cooling technology for AI workloads. The training center serves as an operational learning environment for next-generation data center infrastructure, offering standardized training across EdgeConneX's global network and accommodating customers, partners, and industry visitors.
Accelsius introduced the IR150 system at Nvidia's GTC event and announced general availability at Data Center World. The technology is based on Accelsius' NeuCool two-phase, direct-to-chip liquid cooling platform.
EdgeConneX is backed by EQT Infrastructure, while Accelsius was founded by Innventure, Inc. (NASDAQ: INV).
Accelsius CEO John Hewitt stated that two-phase cooling adoption is accelerating due to the simplified service model enabled by the company's refrigerant-based architecture. EdgeConneX EVP Engineering & Operations Brian Green noted that the training center was designed to prepare operators for emerging data center technologies.
