Super Micro Computer profit beats estimates, revenue misses

Super Micro Computer reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.68 for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $1.69 by $0.99. Revenue totaled $3.85 billion, missing the $4.01 billion forecast from analysts polled by Refinitiv.

The company, a key supplier of AI and high-performance servers, cited strong demand for its hardware in data centers as a driver of profitability. Gross margins expanded to 14.2%, up from 12.8% in the prior-year period, reflecting pricing power and cost efficiencies.

Super Micro Computer’s revenue decline of 12% year-over-year was attributed to softer enterprise spending outside the AI segment. Despite this, the company maintained its full-year revenue guidance range of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion, signaling confidence in sustained AI infrastructure investment.

Shares were little changed in after-hours trading, having gained 15% this year amid broader AI-related stock rallies.
