Knightscope Inc. (NASDAQ: KSCP) has released its latest field brief, titled The Security Agent, outlining its approach to staffing its security services. The document, published on September 10, 2026, is the third in a series and expands on the company’s hybrid model combining autonomous systems, AI-driven software, and licensed security personnel under single contracts with 434 clients across 42 states.
The brief introduces a five-tiered classification of security agents, including unarmed, armed, embedded, augmented, and augmented field agents. Agents are expected to adhere to a three-part code: owning outcomes, acting as the human-in-the-loop, and responding to calls. Their roles are integrated into a seven-level escalation framework called ASF-7, where autonomous detection and verification systems trigger physical responses by agents.
Frontline security personnel benefit from equity ownership, full health coverage, and paid training starting on day one. Autonomous machines have accumulated over 4.4 million hours of operational time, underscoring Knightscope’s reliance on technology alongside human oversight.
The brief will be presented at GSX 2026, the Global Security Exchange, held September 14–16 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, booth 3905.
