Ford Outlines Services Push at Goldman Sachs Tech Conference

Ford Motor Co. presented its services expansion strategy at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 8, 2026, detailing subscriber gains, new partnerships and an organizational restructuring aimed at unifying hardware and software sales.

Mike Aragon, president of integrated services, and Alicia Boler Davis, president of Ford Pro, outlined the company's "four-step flywheel" approach — scale, activate, engage and monetize — built around four customer interaction pillars: build, thrill, adventure and elevate. Davis oversaw a recent consolidation of Ford Pro's software sales teams to align go-to-market strategies across hardware and software divisions.

Ford reported 14 million connected vehicles globally and 1.6 million paying subscribers after purchase, excluding bundled or free trials. BlueCruise-equipped vehicles reached 1.5 million on the road worldwide, up from 1.2 million, representing a 70% to 80% year-over-year increase in 2025. Total BlueCruise subscribers rose 40% annually to 530,000, while paid BlueCruise subscribers jumped 170% to 200,000. Ford Pro commercial subscribers grew 20% year-over-year to 900,000.

The combined physical and digital services business is valued at $15 billion and is expected to grow at 8% through the end of the decade. Blended average revenue per user across Pro and retail services stands at $14 per month, up from roughly $10 per month previously discussed for Pro alone.

Ford Pro offerings span data services, telematics, fleet management and managed maintenance, with managed maintenance noted as the highest-value tier. The company also launched an AI assistant in its mobile app for both Pro and retail users, with an in-vehicle version planned later and a telematics-embedded version already active for Pro customers. BlueCruise now includes an auto lane change function.

A partnership with Apple Maps was announced to integrate mapping with Ford's advanced driver-assistance and in-vehicle infotainment systems. Other partnerships include Amazon and Twitch.

Ford's stock closed at $14.23, up 30.9% over the past year, with a market capitalization of $56.7 billion. Annual revenue totaled approximately $188 billion, and gross profit margin stood at 7.12%. Analysts forecast earnings of $1.90 per share for the year, with the company expected to return to profitability. Ford is scheduled to report quarterly results on October 28, 2026.
