The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) has published a new ordinance governing the liquidity of banks and securities firms.

The regulatory update incorporates an existing circular concerning liquidity risks into the new ordinance framework. According to FINMA, the measure fulfills the requirement for format compliance of regulation stipulated under Article 7, paragraph 1 of the Financial Market Supervision Act.
