Conduit Holdings Limited (LSE:CRE) said Christian Dunleavy has been appointed as its next chief executive officer and executive director, effective March 1, 2027. Dunleavy will succeed Neil Eckert, who founded Conduit in 2020 and will step down as CEO and executive director on the same date. The company said Dunleavy will join the board as an executive director.
Nicholas Shott, chair of Conduit Holdings, said leadership succession had been a key priority for the board and that the company had identified Dunleavy as a high-quality candidate. Conduit Holdings confirmed that trading had continued in line with expectations since the publication of its July 2026 interim results presentation.
Dunleavy has more than 25 years of reinsurance experience. He most recently served as director and group president of Aspen Insurance Holdings and CEO of Aspen Bermuda Limited. He joined Aspen in 2015 as global head of property catastrophe reinsurance and later became group chief underwriting officer. Before Aspen, he held senior reinsurance underwriting roles at AXIS Capital and began his career at RenaissanceRe.
Dunleavy also chairs the Association of Bermuda International Companies and serves as a non-executive director of Coralisle Group and HSBC Bank Bermuda. Conduit Holdings is the parent of Conduit Re, a Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurance business. Aspen Insurance Holdings completed a New York Stock Exchange IPO in 2025, and Eckert was appointed CEO in May 2025.
