Bitwise Investment Advisers has announced the liquidation of its Dogecoin ETF (ticker: NYSE: BWOW), effective from October 14, 2026. The fund will no longer accept new share issuances prior to market open on October 15, with the final net asset value (NAV) calculation scheduled for October 21. Shareholders will receive their payouts in cash by October 22. The NYSE Arca will mark October 14 as the last trading day for BWOW, allowing existing shareholders to sell shares in the secondary market until the close of that day.
Bitwise, managing over $9 billion in client assets across 70+ investment products—including ETFs, separately managed accounts, and private funds—has cited operational optimization and evolving investor demand as reasons for the delisting. The company coordinated with the NYSE to ensure a smooth transition. Foreside Fund Services, serving as the fund’s marketing agent, remains unaffiliated with Bitwise. The move affects over 5,500 private wealth teams, institutional investors, and 21 banks and broker-dealers that have participated in the fund.
Shareholders are not required to take any action during the liquidation process, though they may continue trading BWOW shares in the secondary market until October 14. The fund’s liquidation follows a structured timeline, with NAV calculations and payouts executed in a manner designed to minimize disruption for remaining investors.
