SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) announced an expansion of its Quantum Highway infrastructure across five countries — Switzerland, Spain, France, the United States, and India.
The company is working with WISeKey International Holding Ltd (SIX: WIHN; NASDAQ: WKEY) on the initiative. Under the plan, the Canton of Jura in Switzerland will host a post-quantum semiconductor and cybersecurity center, with an invested capital range of CHF 40 million to CHF 60 million. The facility is projected to create approximately 150 jobs within five years, rising to more than 250 over the longer term.
In parallel, Quantix Edge Security — another partner in the ecosystem — plans a €40 million investment to develop semiconductor capabilities in Murcia, Spain.
The expansion also includes ambitions in orbital technology. SEALSQ and WISeSat outlined a roadmap for the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud, a system combining post-quantum security with satellite connectivity that could deploy up to 100 satellites.
Carlos Moreira, founder and CEO of both WISeKey and SEALSQ, said the strategy is designed to decentralize critical quantum infrastructure. "We are connecting specialized centers rather than concentrating critical technologies in one location, creating an integrated chain of trust from semiconductor design and post-quantum security to quantum computing and space," Moreira said.
Other partners involved in the network include Miraex, EeroQ, Kaynes, and IC'ALPS, each contributing capabilities across the quantum supply chain.
