Mistras Group posts record Q2 EBITDA on Vision2030 progress

Mistras Group Inc. reported record adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the second quarter of 2026, as its Vision2030 strategic plan delivered cost efficiencies and demand recovery across core industrial sectors.

The industrial inspection and testing services provider posted adjusted EBITDA of $52.3 million in Q2 2026, up 18% year-over-year and surpassing prior guidance. Revenue for the quarter totaled $248.7 million, a 12% increase from the same period in 2025, reflecting broad-based growth in energy, aerospace and infrastructure end-markets.

Management attributed the outperformance to operational improvements under Vision2030, including facility consolidations, workforce optimization and digital transformation initiatives. The company also highlighted sustained pricing power in key contracts, particularly in the oil and gas sector, where inspection demand remained robust despite macroeconomic headwinds.

Based on the strong quarterly results, Mistras raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to a range of $195 million to $205 million, up from the prior outlook of $180 million to $190 million. The company maintained its revenue guidance of $950 million to $980 million for the full year.

Mistras Group CEO Sohail Tahir stated that the company is on track to achieve its Vision2030 targets ahead of schedule, with a focus on expanding margins and accelerating digital adoption in inspection processes.

Shares of Mistras Group were indicated higher in pre-market trading following the results, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s execution under its long-term strategy.
