Intrusion misses earnings by $0.04, revenue below estimates

Intrusion Inc. reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.05 for the quarter, falling short of the $0.09 estimate by $0.04, while revenue totaled $12.3 million, below the $13.1 million forecast.

The cybersecurity company cited softer demand in enterprise security solutions as the primary driver of the shortfall. Gross margin contracted to 71.2% from 74.5% in the prior-year period, reflecting higher operational costs.

Intrusion maintained its full-year guidance, projecting revenue between $50 million and $52 million, though analysts had expected a midpoint of $53.5 million. The company emphasized ongoing investments in product development and sales expansion despite the near-term headwinds.

Shares of Intrusion fell 3.2% in after-hours trading following the results, extending declines from the prior session. The stock has underperformed the broader cybersecurity index by 8% over the past month.

Chief Executive Officer Joe Payne stated that the company remains focused on long-term growth initiatives, including AI-driven threat detection capabilities, though near-term macroeconomic pressures may continue to weigh on performance.
