The DAX is expected to open only marginally changed on Tuesday after a sharp advance at the start of the week. One hour before trading, the X-Dax pre-market indicator showed a slight gain at 25,585 points.
The level keeps the index above its 50-day moving average, which had acted as resistance during Thursday’s recovery attempt. The moving average remains a key mid-term trend reference for traders.
Gains in US and Asian markets are likely to provide further support. The Nasdaq 100 surged sharply on Monday, continuing higher even after European close, and has moved back within striking distance of its all-time high set in early June. Meta shares posted their strongest one-day gain since April 2025, rising over 11%, fueled by investor enthusiasm for the launch of its new consumer AI platform Muse.
Analyst reactions have been notably positive. Brent Thill of Jefferies described Muse as showing “all the signs of a killer app,” citing consumer acceptance he said substantially exceeds that of competitors such as Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini, alongside “enormous monetisation potential.”
The AI-related momentum extended into Asian markets overnight, with South Korea’s Kospi adding further ground in morning trade.
In Germany, AI and technology names are expected to benefit from the positive transatlantic sentiment. Infineon shares traded nearly 1% above Monday’s Xetra closing level in pre-market dealings on Tradegate.
Among individual German issues, Tui shares dipped slightly on Tradegate after the travel group narrowed its full-year profit forecast. Elsewhere in the small-cap segment, Circus shares rose almost 5% on Tradegate as the AI-driven robotics company announced the commencement of commercial operations in the United Arab Emirates.
