Calida Ordered to Pay €6.4M in Lafuma Sale Dispute

The Calida Group has been ordered to pay €6.4 million in damages by a Paris court in a dispute over the sale of its outdoor furniture division Lafuma Mobilier. The ruling, delivered in first instance by the local commercial court, partially upheld a claim filed by the buyer, Peugeot Frères Industrie, which had originally sought €39 million. The dispute stems from the purchase agreement signed on July 30, 2024, with no specific reasons for the claim having been disclosed thus far. The judgment is not yet final and can be appealed. Calida will review the decision and decide on any potential appeals. If the ruling stands, the damages payment would impact Calida's financial results accordingly. However, the company maintains its outlook for the current year and expects an adjusted EBIT margin of more than 6% of revenue for 2026. Calida had previously rejected Peugeot Frères' claims in March 2025, describing them as «difficult to understand». Lafuma Mobilier has been part of the Calida Group since 2013. The sale marked Calida's separation from the outdoor furniture brand and a focus on its core business of underwear and lingerie.
