Wren House Infrastructure Management, the direct investment arm of Kuwait’s sovereign wealth fund, is in advanced talks to acquire an 80% stake in a European data center joint venture held by Singapore’s GIC Pte for approximately €700 million ($810 million).
The deal would transfer majority control of the venture while leaving Equinix Inc. with a 20% ownership stake. The U.S.-based data center operator, which operates 101 facilities worldwide, has indicated it will remain invested in the joint venture.
Discussions remain ongoing, and Wren House retains the option to withdraw from the transaction. No final agreement has been signed, according to people familiar with the matter.
