Willis Lease Finance Corporation has acquired 12 commercial aircraft and 13 aviation engines, deepening its leasing portfolio as part of a strategic expansion plan.
The transaction was announced on August 25, 2026, with Willis Lease, headquartered in Coconut Creek, Florida, positioning the deal as an opportunity to deploy capital into assets aligned with its existing leasing business. Austin C. Willis, Chief Executive Officer, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s core competencies in aircraft and engine leasing while supporting its focus on disciplined growth and long-term value creation.
Milbank LLP served as legal advisor to Willis Lease, while PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP provided accounting, tax, and financial due diligence. On the seller’s side, Vedder acted as legal counsel and KPMG Ireland handled tax and accounting services. Willis Mitsui & Co. Asset Management Limited, an affiliate of Willis Lease, was also noted in relation to the transaction.
