The Wendy’s Company (NASDAQ: WEN) appointed Tariq Hassan as Chief Marketing and Customer Growth Officer, effective immediately, as the Dublin, Ohio-based chain seeks to reinvigorate its U.S. business under President and CEO Bob Wright.
Hassan, who previously held the role of Senior Vice President of U.S. Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, will report directly to Wright and join the company’s Senior Leadership Team. His appointment follows the departure of Lindsay Radkoski, who served as U.S. Chief Marketing Officer since 2024 and will leave after a transition period.
Wendy’s operates more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide through company-owned and franchised locations. The chain, founded in 1969, has emphasized profitable growth as a priority under its current leadership. Wright highlighted Hassan’s track record in brand-building and digital transformation, stating that his experience aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
In a statement, Hassan said his focus would be on strengthening the brand’s connection with consumers across all touchpoints. Wright also acknowledged Radkoski’s contributions, noting her 15 years of service to the company.
The appointment reflects Wendy’s efforts to leverage executive expertise from rival fast-food operators as it navigates competitive pressures in the U.S. quick-service restaurant sector.
